Defragmenting the ol' hard drive

Today was emotionally strenuous. Between the realtor and ourselves, we're basically doing the listing agent's job to get this house closed on because she's so unreliable she wasn't even there to let the appraiser in yesterday to look at the house. *eye roll* Why do people have jobs if they don't do them? We also took Jason to the doctor to have his knee looked at again. It's hard to keep your knees healthy when you only have one complete leg and have to keep all your weight on it. Brianna didn't understand what the big fuss was and suggested that the doctor kiss it to make it better. She's too sweet for her own good sometimes. Later today Jenny called. A friend of hers died and she's having a rough time. She needed some company so we ran around doing errands together for a bit. I can't understand the pain she must be going through but I hope I can help her deal with it. After a yummy dinner I headed to Hype 7 rehearsal. I had a half hour drive today all alone in the car with nothing to think about but my current situation, which has a heck of a lot going on that I don't know how it's going to pan out, so by the time I got there I was really wound up. I promised myself I would use the time to pretend the only thing in my life this evening would be improv, and I relaxed enough during the rehearsal to feel as though I'd done mental yoga. It was just exactly what I needed. Our rehearsal was great, too. We all did some amazing work. I bet at this point you're thinking, "Well that's all very well and good, Jess, but what's up with your picture?" Now you shall know, my friends. Nifer's boss came up to her yesterday and said, "Hey, do you rap?" She said, "I literally did this." then looked down at her pasty white body and did a squinty skeptical look. "Um...I guess I can? I've listened to the Beastie Boys...." Her boss asked her to write a wrap about customer service and then perform it at a meeting for everyone who works at the bank. This is what she came up with. You can read it if you click on the picture, it's hillarious.

Mental yoga. And THAT'S why this stuff rocks.
