You know I'm gonna be like you, mom

Jason's car had to be inspected to make sure it was driveable after the accident, so we drove to what is essentially the "Police DMV" in Lawrence. Basically, all they know about cars is where the lights are and as long as they are intact and you've paid the $15 fee, they sign it off. It's a joke, really. Since we had already spent the gas (yes, it's currency) getting there we decided to get some lunch at Free State, since Jason has never been there. I love that place. After lunch I wanted to hit The Merc for some local and organic produce, since we basically live in a grocery store black hole (yeah, there are three in a ten mile radius and they all suck.) and I love hippy grocery stores, God help me, I do. They had tiny grocery carts, which Brianna joyfully followed me around the store with, occasionally dinging my achilles tendon. Cutest injuries ever. We got home just in time for me to shoot off a couple e-mails, then picked Leigha up from school and drove to Clinton, Mo, which is halfway between our place and Jason's parent's place. We met them for dinner and checked out the sweet new ride Jason's dad got. Sounds like they're going to consider selling his old car to us for a low price. That'd be great since the Escort is basically on it's last legs at this point.
