The end is near!!!
This is the pair of pants I've been wearing for working on the house. Needless to say I am throwing them out after the work is complete. Fortunately, that won't be too much longer (woo hoo!) Today we painted all the bedrooms, then started priming the floors (the carpet comes in tomorrow and the previous owners had a dog. This will ensure that any smells will be killed.) The stairwell is finished, we have a new sink and garbage disposal, and we wired the kitchen to be able to put in an electric stove. What's left now? Well, that's the easy part-we move in! There will be many more forthcoming projects, but this house will officially be habitable once the carpet gets in tomorrow. *does her happy dance* It's about time, too. I'm beginning to feel out of touch with the real world here. Between my wisdom teeth and this house I've been pretty much living under a rock during two and a half weeks out of the month of April here. I wonder if I will look back on this time as a seamless blur? Oh, yeah, I forgot to mention. While removing a cabinet from the bathroom, I totally found a hashpipe. Yeah. And it's the ugliest, most tacky thing in the world, ever. It kind of looks like a faucet handle (and that's what I thought it was at first, *blush*) with a dragon curled around it. Ew.
