I can lead a nation with a microphone
Today I started priming the walls. Not because the wallpaper stripping is done, not by a long shot, but because I badly bruised my finger yesterday gripping the putty knife so hard trying to get it off. Fortunately there wasn't any to take off in the living room, so I primed. I think this picture is really cool and artistic. It also sums up the bulk of my day quite nicely. Jenny came by and had lunch with me this afternoon, then graciously allowed me to borrow a radio so that I could have Weezer, Vampire Weekend, and The Flobots keep me company while I worked. There's a lot of great new music out right now, for which I am quite thankful. This evening I went to Roving Imp rehearsal and we did some really great stuff. I find myself doing more dark and/or serious scenes sometimes, and tonight was one of those nights. Not dark like "everything is dead" but dark like "there is so much tension between them you could cut it with a putty knife." Interesting. It turns out great, like, seriously high quality stuff, but sometimes I wonder if the people watching would rather see something that makes them wet themselves laughing. Perhaps I need to not think about what my fellow troupe members want to see and just go with it more often. Improv is a complicated lover. Oh, and speaking of improv, putty knife. There, now I've used that term three times, which is the magic number to end things on.
