Berrong and Bernard: Much more than a B&B.

Tonight when Jason got off work we dropped the kids of with Dustin and Alanna to see the world premiere of the 'Brownies Don't Lie' show. Jill Bernard (remember the festival?) and Trish (remember the festival?) had been at an improv class in LA for the past week. Since Jill had to come back through Kansas City on her way back to Minneapolis where she lives, she and Trish put on a show together! It was great, they were a well matched team and it was obvious they were having a blast together, and we had fun with them as well. Good improv should be exactly that, in my opinion. The performers are inviting the audience to have fun with them. Before Brownies Don't Lie took the stage, we were treated to some great performances by Spite and Babelfish. Babelfish does this format where they're 'entertaining themselves' while waiting for Jill Bernard to show. A la Waiting for Godot. Tonight was the first time they performed it while Jill was actually there (what with the 'she lives in Minneapolis' thing.) so it added a deeper level of funny since we knew full well Jill was watching the whole thing from the seventh row (or wherever. )
