Our house in the middle of our street

Melissa called today. She needed to get out of the house and breathe (I so fully understand). We ended up getting lunch, running to Target to get a present for a friend, then coming back to my house for coffee and chat. Somehow we managed to snap a picture in the middle of it all. We're hot. It was great catching up with her again, I'm so glad she called. Leigha's last day of school was today, which was bittersweet for her because it kicks off summer vacation, but she's going to a different school next year and won't be rejoining her friends. She was pretty bummed, but she makes friends so quickly and she got people's numbers so hopefully we'll get her cheered up pretty quick. After dinner this evening we took the girls out for ice cream. They were out of Brianna's usual (cherry flavored Star Kiss) but they had something similar (red, white and blue Star Kiss, flavor unknown) so she got that instead. She flipped out because she's never seen one in multiple colors, and by the time we got out of the car at Home Depot she had so much blue on her mouth and hands she looked like a smurf!
